Neptune’s Necklace also known as neptune's pearls, sea grapes, or bubbleweed is a species of seaweed native to Australia and New Zealand. Neptune’s Necklace is eaten by sea urchins, crabs and fish. Its dense fronds form a protective microhabitat where molluscs, worms and small crustaceans shelter. Neptune's necklace is a small, brown seaweed (algae) which resembles a beaded necklace. It has branches which are made up of strings of hollow, water-filled, round or oval-shaped beads joined together by a short stalk.
