The Cockatoo’s Secret | Original Bird Painting by Naomi Veitch
A$2,090.00
An intimate glimpse into the quiet beauty of Australian coastal wildlife. Captivating and full of character, The Cockatoo’s Secret is far more than a traditional bird portrait—it is a beautiful study of patience, intelligence, and curiosity. Naomi Veitch brings the viewer eye-to-eye with one of Australia’s most expressive icons, capturing a private, gentle moment that usually goes unseen in the wild.
The painting features a striking narrative in white and green, intentionally designed to invite the soothing energy of nature indoors. The crisp, intricately detailed white plumage of the sulphur-crested cockatoo pops beautifully against a softly blurred, mossy green backdrop. This artistic "bokeh" effect creates a sophisticated, modern focal point that adds a breath of fresh air and vitality to your walls. From the delicate precision of the feathers to the subtle inclusion of a single seed held in the beak, the artwork invites you to slow down, take a closer look, and enjoy a quiet moment of stillness.
Painted with professional-grade acrylics on an artist-quality stretched canvas, the piece features 3cm deep gallery-wrapped edges, allowing the composition to flow cleanly around the sides so it can be displayed beautifully without a frame. Sealed with a premium matte varnish, the canvas has a smooth, non-reflective finish. This thoughtful detail ensures you can fully appreciate the depth of the forest greens and the textured whites from anywhere in your room, entirely free from harsh glare or reflection. It is an ideal addition for anyone looking to transform their home into a calm, uplifting sanctuary.
This original artwork arrives beautifully executed on a premium 3cm canvas profile and comes completely ready to hang, effortlessly transforming your space into a peaceful retreat.

Care & Preservation Instructions
To ensure your original acrylic painting remains a vibrant part of your sanctuary for a lifetime, please follow these gentle care guidelines:
-
Humidity & Atmosphere: Acrylic paintings breathe with their environment. Avoid hanging your piece in bathrooms or areas with high humidity to protect the integrity of the board and pigments.
-
Light Exposure: While your painting is varnished for durability, we recommend displaying it away from prolonged, harsh direct sunlight to maintain its signature "golden hour" glow.
-
Cleaning: To remove dust, simply wipe lightly with a clean, dry microfibre cloth. Please never use water, chemical sprays, or abrasive materials, as these can disturb the hand-painted texture.
