Bo Godiva

"As an ocean swimmer, I’m inspired by the morning light and the rhythm of the tides. My work is a modern celebration of that vibrant coastal energy and the simple joy of seaside living."
Bo Godiva is a Sydney-based artist whose vibrant paintings celebrate the essence of Australian coastal life. A passionate ocean swimmer, she draws inspiration from the ever-changing interplay of light and human movement during her daily sunrise swims. Her studio work translates these experiences into bold compositions that capture the pure joy of seaside living.
Bo’s practice is deeply rooted in colour theory and influenced by the 20th-century Sydney Moderns, such as Roy de Maistre and Grace Cossington Smith. Using acrylic on board and palette knife techniques, she explores the relationship between geometric abstraction and the organic flow of the ocean. Frequently exhibiting at major art fairs, Bo’s work offers a unique perspective on beach culture, exploring the harmony between vibrant colour fields and the natural world.
