Looking past the shower, the eye is led down to the familiar silhouette of the Copa headland under a bright, glorious sun, while moody storm clouds begin to gather far out at sea.
This 40x30cm oil on board is full of light and warmth. Naomi has used her signature technique of scraping back layers to allow glimpses of a vibrant orange undercoat to peek through, mimicking the golden glow of the afternoon sun. It is a painterly, soulful tribute to those still, "perfect" moments on the Central Coast when the crowds have thinned and the air is thick with the coming rain.
